GTCC? It stands for Grand Traverse Coffee Company. It all started back in high school when I would bring coffee in. At the time, my mom had gotten into craft roasting and would roast some delicious java. Soon enough, curious students and teachers wanted to try the flavor of the fresh, craft roasted coffee. The nice guy that I am, I would let them. I started out bringing a single cup, and by my senior year I was bringing in my two pot thermos on a regular basis. I became known as the coffee guy. To offset the large amounts of coffee going out, the chef taught me the craft of roasting, and we upgraded our little 6oz roaster to the massive RK drum roaster. To offset the cost, the addicted students and teachers who no longer could drink the stale store stuff, would buy our beans.
Today the chef, and I still craft roast a delicious bean, but offer it to anyone who wants to experience the flavor.
